Adaptive Channel on EURUSD 4-hour with regression mid-line, volatility bands and touch counts
A channel that fits the move you are in, not the one from last month.
A fixed channel drawn last week describes last week. Adaptive Channel re-fits its regression to the current move, so the channel on your chart belongs to the trend you are actually trading.
The channel is drawn with a mid-line and outer bands scaled by volatility, so the width reflects how much the instrument is currently moving rather than a fixed multiple. Touches on each band are counted and shown — a channel with several clean touches has more meaning than one price has barely tested.
Breakouts are marked when price closes outside the band with enough displacement, and the slope readout tells you whether the channel is steepening, flattening or rolling over. Because the fit updates as new bars arrive, the channel drawn over historical bars is the current fit rather than the fit as it stood at the time.
5 components, grouped by where they render on your chart.
A regression is fitted to the active swing and re-fitted as the swing extends.
The outer bands widen and narrow with the instrument’s current volatility.
Each clean touch is counted so you can judge how meaningful the channel is.

Every TradingVAI product states plainly how it behaves as new bars arrive. This one is classified as dynamic recalculation.
Levels and structure are recalculated as new bars arrive, so drawings on the chart shift over time. This is how the tool is designed to work — it tracks the market as it evolves.
The channel re-fits as new bars arrive, which means the channel you see over historical bars is the current best fit rather than the channel that existed at the time. Touch counts and breakout markers are recorded against the fit at the moment they occurred and do not move, but the bands themselves shift. Treat the channel as a live description of the current move, not as a record of where the bands sat historically.
Bollinger Bands are centred on a moving average, which lags in a trend. This is centred on a regression fitted to the current swing, so the mid-line follows the slope of the move rather than trailing behind it.
The bands re-fit as new bars arrive, so yes, their position over history changes. That is disclosed prominently on the product page. Touch counts and breakout markers, once printed, stay where they were printed.
Yes. There is a lock input that freezes the fit at the current bar, which is useful when you want to watch how price behaves against a specific channel rather than a moving one.
