Overview

Structure is the part of technical analysis most people get wrong, usually by mixing internal structure with swing structure and ending up with a count that contradicts itself. Smart Structure Pro keeps them separate and labels each independently, so an internal change of character inside an intact higher swing reads as exactly that rather than as a trend reversal.

Each label is placed at the swing that caused it, at the moment the break confirms. The bias panel shows the current structural direction on three timeframes with the price level that would flip each one. That last number is the useful one: it tells you what has to happen for your read to be wrong.

Equilibrium is shaded between the current swing high and low so you can see instantly whether price is trading at a premium or a discount to the range.

How this tool behaves on the chart

Adapts to new bars

Levels and structure are recalculated as new bars arrive, so drawings on the chart shift over time. This is how the tool is designed to work — it tracks the market as it evolves.

Swing points require a confirmation window before they count as structure, so the most recent swing can change while that window is open. Once confirmed, a swing and its BOS or CHoCH label are fixed and do not move. The equilibrium shading is recalculated continuously because it is defined by the current swing range, which moves as the range extends.

Questions

What is the difference between internal and swing structure?

Swing structure is built from the major pivots that define the trend. Internal structure is the lower-degree movement between those pivots. A change of character in internal structure often happens without the swing trend changing at all — separating them stops that being read as a reversal.

How long does confirmation take?

By default a swing needs a set number of bars on each side before it counts. That is configurable. A shorter window labels sooner and changes its mind more often; a longer one is stable but later.

Can I use it with an order block tool?

Yes, and many customers pair it with Liquidity Matrix. Both are in the Smart Money collection and the templates are designed not to fight each other for the same screen space.
